Redwood Valley Rotary Program

Student Rotarian Program

Open to all Redwood Valley High School Seniors, applicants attend and participate in two or three noon meetings in order to learn what an adult service club is all about. Each visiting student has the opportunity to present a 3-5 minute speech on a topic of their choice. This annual program gives Rotarians a chance to meet a large number of students from the senior class and to hear about their concerns and interests.

Colorful hats, mittens and gloves

Warm Hands/Warm Hearts

Many club projects help to enhance the work of other groups in our community. Through this Rotary District program, the club is able to purchase winter hats and mittens in bulk. The club donates them to Redwood Falls’ annual Christmas charity: Share the Spirit, which helps provide essential needs of toys, food, winter wear and blankets to families in need in Redwood County.

Volunteers Planting Trees

Community Enhancement Projects

Using Rotary District grants the club has been able to purchase and plant trees in the community following storm damage. Major tree planting was also conducted at the Historic Gilfillan Estate. Benches and picnic tables have been purchased for the Redwood Falls water park. Club funds have contributed to many Friends of Ramsey Park projects.
